  1. I like my 1911 Government

    Has the stopping power

    Ammo is some what cheap

    It fits my hand

When looking at the muzzle it looks like the bore on a Abrams tank.

    It is very dependable

    Its easy to clean

  2. Nobody can give you a correct answer until they know what you want to use it for.

  3. Kind of a vague question there. It depends on what you're using it for. Since you asked the question in hunting, I would say a single shot Thompson Center chambered in a rifle cartridge appropriate for the size game you are hunting would be best. A revolver with a barrel longer than 6" would also be a good choice (6" is the minimum length in my state, check your local regulations).

  4. 1.) Colt 1911

    2.) Sig Sauer P226/P220

    3.) Heckler & Koch P7M8/P7M13

    4.) Heckler & Koch USP

    5.) Browning High Power

  5. What fits you best, what you are comfortable with, what you practice with, one you can control....is the "best" handgun.

    Top 5 overall?

    #1 Colt Model 1911 .45 ACP (and it's clones)

    #2 Browning Hi-Power 9mm (and it'sclones)

    #3 Smith & Wesson .38/.357 revolver (and it's clones)

    #4 Berretta Model 92 9mm (and all it's clones)

#5 Ruger Mark 1 .22lr pistol (and it's revisions and clones)

  6. I own a number of handguns, but my favorite 5 are:-

    1.      Colt SAA 1873 in 45 LC.

    2.      Ruger Super Redhawk in 44 Mag.

    3.      Walther PPK in 9mm Short.

    4.      Colt M1911 in 45 ACP.

    5.      Smith and Wesson Model 625-2 in 45 ACP.

  7. The best handgun is the one you are holding when your life depends on it.  As for picking and chosing you have to just hold and evaluate what your own personal preference is; don't let a committee or the world tell you what it is you like, want, or need.  The tail does not wag the dog nor does the liberal left media dictate who is elected to what office.

  8. go with a .45 caliber. it doesn't matter if it is a pistol or a revolver, but keep in mind that revolvers are more accurate.

.44 calibers are more powerful but they're not as accurate, and you can actually hit your target with a .45

  9. For me it's the Colt M1911A1, and the H&K P7 (and its variants).

  10. Obviously, the best handgun is the one that's already in your hand when you need it the most.  My five favorites are:

    1. Glock Model 20 10mm.

    2. Colt Python .357 Magnum.

    3. Colt Comander Lightweight .38 Super.

    4. Colt Detective Special (.38 Special).

    5. Beretta Model 84 .380 acp.

    H

  11. 1911 It's what God shoots

4" .357 closest thing to an all around handgun there is

Loaded up 357s for larger game up to deer loaded down 38s for small game down to rabbits and even squirrel

.38 snub, time tested and proven as a back up and primary defense weapon

.22 revolver good clean affordable fun

.22 auto good clean affordable fun that is just a little more tedious to reload

  12. what would you be useing it for? one hand gun could be great for one thing and bad for another so there really isnt just one thats the best or worst.

and if anyone says desert eagle im going to chop your hands off

  13. colt or remington

  14. The Best is a 357 Magnum, it has been tried, true, tested, and proven to be the best no-nonsense man stopper of them all.* You can also shoot 38's in a 357 Magnum.* You get two (2*) handguns for the price of one.* I prefer the Smith & Wesson  Brand revolver with 4 or 6 inch barrel.* Use 125 grain jacketed hollow points for self-defense ammo.*

  15. Depends what the job you are using it for and if it fits your hand.

But the top 5 best built hand guns are

    1.Sig/H&K tie

    2.Beretta

    3.S&W

    4.Walther
