What is the best hike within an hour of Victoria, BC? Nothing over 7-10 miles round-trip. :)?

  1. If you are in good shape and don't mind up hill, Mount Finlayson is an amazing hike.  Can be done in an afternoon and amazing views at the top.  

    If you are looking for something more gentle a walk around Thetis lake is good, lots of pretty views and only 15 minute drive out of town.


  2. Check out Goldstream Park, near Langford, or the Cowichan Valley. Go to vancouverisland.com and look at Parks and Trails. There are tons of trails, it's hard to choose . The ones on the west coast of Vancouver Island, near Sooke, will give you some real west coast stuff. I understand there is a bike trail from downtown Victoria out towards Sidney, that might make a nice hike too.

  3. Mill Hill is always nice.
