  1. I read that if you rub vinegar on it, it soothes the sunburn and even starts to make it disappear!

  2. Calendula Lotion. And aloe.

  3. Aloe. if you break a piece off and squeeze the gel inside and apply you will feel instant relief. Aloe is the main ingredient in all those over the counter products that usually add alcohol that irritates your skin

  4. Calendula

Having always used fresh aloe I thought it was the best. However a friend's twin daughters both got sunburnt playing sport.

One of the girls stayed at a friends on a sleep over and her friends mum put Calendula on her sunburn that night and the following morning.  She returned home with no apparent sunburn remaining, whilst her twin still had a little (gone 2 days later with just the fresh aloe).

  5. I use pure essential oil of lavender on sunburn with great results. Aloe vera gel and witch hazel are on the top of my list also.

  6. OLD OR AT HOME REMEDIES: WITCHHAZEL EVERY 2 HRS., PURE ALOE, LIKE THE PLANT IF YOU HAVE IT AT HOME, BREAK LEAVES AND SQUESE OUT JELLY AND RUB IT ON YOUR BODY OR LUKE WARM WATER IN TUB WITH A CUP OF BAKING SODA AND SOAK IN IT UNTIL WATER IS COOL, ALSO YOU MAY USE OATMEAL IN TUB

OR USE CIDER VINEGAR TRUST ME ALL OF THE ABOVE WORKS GOOD LUCK.

                                           FATIMA

  7. Get a tube of aloe vera from your chemist. The fresh plant is perhaps better. It is a low growing succulent with thick fleshy leaves that have a triangular cross section. Objectively, they are like you fingers, but  have a row of sharpish burrs growing along their edges.

With a sharp knife, cut the leaf off near the base of the plant.

Then strip the thorns off with the knife, too,  and slice the leaf into halves. This reveals a very soft, clear gel. Smear this gel directly and gently over your burns. It is cool and very effective, absorbing the sting immediately leaving you much more comfortable.

These plants were oten grown in old gardens. They are quite common and without realising it, you would have seen them often. erhaps even referred to a a cactus, which essentially they are not. If not, you will probably get an aloe vera from a

plant shop for about $5. Strip a leaf or two from it and grow the rest in your garden for future (god forbid) use if necessary.

  8. the old Noxzema   or vinegar they have something in  the drug store its called folie sunburn spray next time you go out be sure to put on sunblock too much sun can cause skin cancer  the foli spray comes in a yellow can

  9. 1 Plain Alka-Seltzer tablet in 240 ml's of plain water, place a piece of lint or clean swab in and soak up enough mixture to keep it moist, and place on sunburn you will get instant relief.

    GOOD LUCK.
