  1. It depends on the student's learning style.  However, I would highly recommend Time4Learning, an affordable online home education program.  They have core curriculum for grades pre-K through 8, and the cost is only $20 a month.

  2. Alpha Omega has a lot of good material, but stay far away from their Math books. Use Saxon's Algebra 1/2.

  3. It really depends on how you want to teach your child.  There are several different methods.

Two that are popular for that age are textbook programs and online programs.  Here is a description and some options for each:

    Hope that helps!

  4. We use Sonlight and we really like it.  It's especially good if you and your kids are literature lovers, like mine.

  5. Teaching Text Books, Saxon and Abeka are really good math books.

Bob Jones and Abeka also sell every subject you need.

Alpha Omega is also suppose to be good.

  6. May I suggest Accelerated Christian Education our Christian school uses it and its a great curriculum, the website is www.aceministries.com they have a phone number on the website, so call them up and they will help you get started.

  7. look on pen island.com
