  1. My son finished the 8th grade in public school with straight F's and went from that to straight A's and B's being home schooled. Online charter schools are considered the same as public schooling. My son graduated an online charter school and now attends University of Dayton ( a private university ) with scholarships.

Home schooling can work for some. The student needs to be self disciplined enough to do the work and care. Generally less work is involved with an online charter school than in a regular public school. You are also able to work at your own pace. k12 will customize your curriculum and make sure you are where you need to be.

This is the school my other children are now attending,

Depending on where you live they may be a help, if not, there are online charter schools all over.

They will provide you with the computer, printer, supplies and books that you need as well as teachers and academic advisors. This is the same as a public school but ONLINE at home. They will also provide you with teacher to help you by phone and email. They will also help you with any state required testing that needs to be done as well as proficiencies.

If you need anything else feel free to email me

  2. Keystone Homeschooling

I believe it can be found on www.keystonehomeschool.com.

It is fully accredited and accepted by almost all colleges.

  3. Penn Foster

MOST students and parents grumble about that one it's so hard!  Everyone wants CHEAT SHEETS and no one gives them!

  4. I would highly recommend K12 Inc; this can be purchased independently, or you can obtain it for free via a home-based "public school at home" program.

The K12 curriculum is challenging and you can move along at your own pace.  Please click the link below to see if your state has a K12 virtual school program:

Connections Academy also offers a home-based "public school at home" program in some states; the link is below:

I hope you are able to find a program that meet your needs.

  5. K-12 program and this is the same program as the public schools use and it's free and on top of that they supply everything, including computers, lab equipments, etc. Check out CAVA.

  6. I would try Ashworth University, they have a high school program thats actually for college prep, it would be like the AP classes at a normal high school.  Im in it and its quite challenging and has the same classes my peers are taking at public school.  I also have been college searching and not only does Ashworth also offer associate, bachelor, and masters degrees but they also are affiliated with a few other colleges.  I also was considering going to a business school in another state and Ashworth is on their accredited list.  The only draw back is that the online program is a lot of money, and the mail correspondence is more affordable but takes more time getting things back and forth.  There is payment plans where you can make monthly payments.
