I just got a Panasonic TH-50PZ700U. I'm looking to get the Onkyo TX-SR605 receiver. What would be a good speaker system to get in the $400 price range?

  1. Do you have a sub already? If you do and want quality, check out the Klipsch quintet series. It is only 5 speakers with no sub, but the overall quality is amazing. And you can pair any sub with it, just make sure the sub fits your room size. Small room 8" to 10" sub max. Medium room 10" sub. Large room 10" to 12"sub. Other than that try this all in one JBL package

  2. I think this should do  - Bose CineMate™ digital home theater speaker system, Graphite Gray as it comes at 399$. You can check Altec Lansing too. Both these are the best for quality sound.

  3. I have an Onkyo receiver and it has done well for me.  I have Polk audio speakers, the combo works well.  You may want to look at Infinity speakers as well.  Be sure to get the same brand/model of speakers whatever you do.   Sony speakers are also rated well by Consumer Reports and seems to be a little cheaper as well.  Another note make sure you speakers can handle whatever is being pumped out of your receiver.
