Heres some suggestions of hotels in Downtown Toronto.

I stayed at the InterContinental Yorkville  when i was there last, and the rooms were very nice, clean and the overall service was excellent, i would definetly recommend it, but I would say that it's better if your children aren't to too young because the pools not huge, and it's a semi quiet place.

But for little kids i heard that the Delta Chelsea Hotel Downtown Toronto is good, reasonable prices, waterslide and pool, and lots other great things for the kids, They also have a few packages with either discounted prices for attractions  or free into some places, plus most family packages come with $20 spa certificate ;)
