actually, any corner will do, as far as restaurants go. i wouldn't recommend hotels.

Lucerna is excellent, but on the expensive side.  It has two restaurants, Rivoli for larger groups and El Acueducto, perhaps more intimate. To get a better experience of  Mexico, wander outside the hotel and follow your nose- Mexicans aren't shy about offering you what they have.
