So, you are looking for the best VALUE for $500, am I correct?

My personal favorite is the Raleigh Detour series, but excellent values can be had from KHS, Diamondback, Fuji, Schwinn, and Mongoose- but not the Walmart Mongooses or Schwinns. Brands such as Trek and Specialized tend to have one grade lower components for the same price.

Take a little time and look over the specs. Ride the ones you can then choose your favorite.
