  1. there are many other fuels that you can use. but most of them have allot of side effect.

    ethanol is great and it produces much much less green house gasses than diesel and gas. but the amount of land needed to produce stocks for the ethanol is to grate and in the future it can only grow more. hydrogen is 100 percent environmental friendly, but it is allot more expensive than what most Americans can afford. electric cars will only make more power plants which contaminate the enviorment, and they have to be left to charge for about 8 hours. the best choice is vehicles that work with compressed air tanks. it is enviormental friendly, you barley need to fill it up, and its practically free. a 1 ton vehicle needs a tank of approximately 200Lt of compressed air. as the air is used to make the wheels move, the same movement of the wheels make electricity that can be used to power a small pump that compresses more air in the tank.

  2. The best energy idea is not being considered yet. The stuff   we now dump and now pollutes the environment can be processed using solar power and transformed into oil. Its not that hard to do but no one is thinking in this direction. If this process was put to use on a worldwide scale all the energy needed by humans could be made at a very low cost and it would be a reliable source of energy for the long term. I don't see much hope for a good idea like this getting a foot hold at this time but at some future time it willbe clear that making oil is a very good thing.

  3. there called feet and shoes. if that doesnt help busses and car pooling is the best method to save energy and gas and the environment

  4. the bicycle.

  5. Ammonia utilization as fuel(hydrogen storage).

    One hectare of corn produces more than 2 tonnes of ammonia from waste...

    Energetic value: 2 m3 of H2 per kg...

  6. I want one that runs on my urine.

  7. It's obviously electricity since we can get that from renewable and non-polluting sources. But until we have the infrastructure to produce energy from solar, wind and nuclear, we can use ethanol. It's better in a higher concentration so a flex-fuel vehicle is best, it produces less CO2, carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, particulate air pollution and even less ozone if the mix is ethanol-rich. Producing that much ethanol wouldn't require turning all our farmland to fuel production unless we stupidly continue to use corn to make ethanol. Sugar cane is better, switchgrass is much better and can be grown on farmland the USDA currently pays farmers not to grow crops on, and a strain of algae exists that can produce ethanol directly. Any of these could be easily adopted to produce ethanol until we migrate to electric cars, buses and trains.

  8. SURELY ammonia as fuel...

    It can be produced in large quantities from all kinds of energy.

    Ships can already use ammonia as fuel with turbo-gas plants...

    It's simple and cheap...:

    ammonia(21000 kj/kg) ---> hydrogen  ----> turbo-gas system(efficiency: about 60%)

  9. I like to call it (GGPPM) Global Green Personal Power Machines an energy system that uses rechargeable batteries to stop and start, an a air powered, self-propelled, mobile power plant, to power the electric engine. Giving us clean unlimited energy production, be it for a car, plane, semi, suv, truck, or train! GGPPM will make power to run anything, anywhere, any day or night as long as you can keep it charged up by moving faster than 26 mile per hour, longer than you are stopped and using power. The hard idea is to get the manufacturers to make them! Not showing the world how to turn there old gas powered - into an electric powered.

  10. My vision would be to, scrap gas cars entirely, then produce as much electricity as possible using renewable methods, especially Solar, wind, geothermal, etc.  Then, power cars electrically, using rechargeable batteries,  but an even better idea would be to install overhead lines or transmit  electricity on the interstate highways that, perhaps for a  fee, you can somehow hook onto, so while you drive, your battery can  be recharged too at the same time; then in the city or where you need to go, you still have enough juice to get to where you are going.

    Use electricity for public transport, too...
