when i was 19 i found progressive to be cheapest if you've had violations... geico to be cheapest otherwise.

Progressive is nice because they only track your driving record for 3 years instead of 5 like most insurance companies.

its expensive because statistically young drivers have more accidents & therefore more claims & therefore cost the insurance company more money.

it goes down drastically at 25 years old or if you get married.

if you are under 21 it would be cheaper to get bonded..instead of auto insurance some states it is called an SR22..could ask insurance company if they offer it....
