What is the best insurance provide for women who have to have c-sections?

I am trying to pick a health insurance company through my husbands new employer.. He gave me limited info to go on so I need your help. What company covers what? I need one that covers most if not all expenses as I'll be having a c-section. I am not sure if it matters any but we are located near Baltimore Maryland.

BCBS Preferred PPO $163.00

BCBS Premium PPO $372.00

Kaiser Mid-Atlantic $265.00

Optimum Choice Mid Atlantic $291.00

What is covered, or the amount of coverage, is also determined by the plan that your husband's company has chosen, not just by the provider.  

If you can't get a plan comparison list, or if you do and it doesn't get specific on c-sections, see if your husband can get the policy numbers and phone numbers for each of the providers, Call them and ask about what's covered.  

Even if he can't get the specific policy numbers, try calling the insurance companies, explain that you're trying to make this decision and ask them to tell you what coverage is available.  

I actually had to do this 4 months ago when I changed jobs.  By being persistent and willing to make more than one call to each company, I did eventually get the information I needed.

No one can answer this question. You need to have your husband get a benefits information packet with all of the plans and the benefits, co-pays and deductibles so that you can compare the plans and get the one that best fits your medical and financial needs. Most times, the plans are shown side-by-side for an easier comparison.
