  1. I've done a lot of painting...I finished fully painting my old house, and then moved into my new house and fully painted my new house.  In my old house I did use Behr and CIL paint and was quite satisfied with both (although I didn't like the smell of CIL).  Behr went on nicely and covered well, and of course the cost was reasonable.  I also tried the designer Ralpha Lauren paint - I found it pricey and there was nothing special about it...in fact some of its "special" paints were a pain to put on.

When I moved though, I ended up near a little shop that sold Benjamin Moore paint and now I'm a avid supporter of the Benjamin Moore paint.  It costs a bit more but covers better and covers a larger area.  Don't forget some good brushes and rollers - they definitely make a difference! And don't forget to prime!

  2. In my opinion--Behr is the best

I almost never use anything else. It is virtually odorless...

I had to use Kilz paint (not primer) and I was satisfied with it but it took W-A-Y to long to dry compared to Behr

  3. Consumer Reports consistently rates Behr Paint a top brand. I think it is hard to beat for coverage, price and durability.

  4. Valspar is surprisingly good. Covers very well for the price. Behr is good. But I think Valspar is better. You can also check out Sherwin Williams who have a good line of paints such as Superpaint and ProMar 200. Benjamin Moores got some good ones Like there Regal line. But I don't care for Benjamin Moore since they dramatically raised the price of there paint a couple of years ago. I have used all kinds of paints so I would recommend going with Valspar. I think you will be happy with it.
