What is the best investment now in this time of turbulence?

In times of turbulence, it's best to have a long term investment plan & stick with it.  I am staying with my asset allocation plan, and plowing money into my 401k.  Also putting 4% of my salary into company stock.  Currently off about 20% from it's high.  Are bear market great or what.

In my opinion, when there's chaos in the market, there is also profit to be made.  What is it Warren Buffet says, when everyone is fearful, be greedy.  And when everyone is greedy, be fearful.  Right now, I would say we are in the grips of fear.

Here is the thing.  Most people here say to invest somewhere else because it is too turbulent.

The smartest thing to do would to go into the turbulence and pick great companies who have been hammered.  I like the financials even though they are the scariest.  So BAC, WFC, USB are ones I like and the ones I own.  They are all great companies caught in the turbulence and when they work out of it, they will do great.
