  1. At 30 to 40 miles away, a roof antenna would more than likely be best, regardless of whether your doing analog or digital.

    Edit:  Sorry, I was assuming you meant DTV as oppose to analog.

  3. You Should Try installing an Outdoors antenna connected to an amplifier. It will pull in more signals than an indoors antenna.
