What is the best kind of drum kit/set to get?

I have no idea about any good brand of drums or anything, help me out?

Depending on your dedication. I say go with something that will give you experience as well as skill. Go find a music store and test some brands out. You will find something that connects with you. Remember, you have to crawl before you can rock!

Look at the drumwright website, they have a top ten section which I found helpful when buying a kit.

I went for a Traps E400 in the end, which is an electronic kit. I was pleased with it, but now that I'm better I would prefer to have an acoustic.

Get a cheap one, because you'll either lose interest, or get a lot better, and you'll have a better idea what will be good for you, and your particular style.
