  1. I like pencil. Pencil's easiest because if you mess up then you can just wipe it away with a q-tip.

Liquid is kind of difficult to control and it gets everywhere.

The easiest I think though is a gel liner (HIP cream liners or MAC's fluidline). You apply it with a brush so you get great control and usually they're waterproof so they stick until you take them off.

  2. Initially practice applying a fine line along the top lid until you master the art of using a steady hand. When you are able to apply the line quickly then use a long lasting liner.

Whilst practising keeps an oil based remover handy for removing eye liner until you have perfected the art.

  3. for me...neither.

my eyes are oily, so pencil disappears within an hour, and liquid is usually smudged halfway down my face by the end of the day.

i usually wet my eyeshadow applicator or a Q-tip, and i rub whatever color eyeshadow on it. then i outline my eyes with that.

it stays on longer for me, and it looks cleaner. plus, i have more of a variety of colors!

  4. Well a light coat of pencil, then go over it with liquid, it stays on really really long and it looks awesome. good luck.

  5. Personally liquid, pencil smudges too much :(
