  1. Either a Blue tongue skink or Beared dragon would be good for a beginner stay away from iguanas and water dragons and chameleons.

  2. Kindly ignore the advise by Justin, Iguanas are a really big no-no for a first time owner. Water dragons are somewhat out of the question too, as they need large enclosures enabled for climbing and fitting a 1:3 water-earth space.

Bearded dragons are docile, readily available and really fun to have. They like to be held, sit on your lap and will maybe even follow you around a room looking to be petted. They make a great reptile for any first timer.

Same goes with Blue-tongued skinks. They're a bit more rare and pricey, but a BTS really is like a puppy dog with scales. Very nice lizards to have, and very docile too!

Collared lizards are nice too.. Although they do need a large tank to be able to move around, collareds are very much alike to a beardie in temperament and come with very colorful bodies.

It just really depends on what amount of space/care you can give the animal. Research on what their housing and food needs are and think about it for a long while before you decide on one breed.

  3. iguana i just got 1 and i love it the cool thing when its grown up u can walk it
