What is the best kind of pool table to buy for a reasonable price?

I would like to buy a pool table for my fiance. Are the glass tops generally better? What should I look for to make sure it will last and will make him go wow without spending a fortune?

The best kind is the one at our "Clicks" a Brunswick and it is "free" most of the time....all I need to do is buy a drink.....why even think about getting one for the house...he will get bored on it pretty quick and then all you have is a big "thing" for a eating table or a pinch hit for a bed.....if he is serious about pool then how is he going to "justify" going out with the guys to play pool....they are nice to have at home....if you have the room and the money......mainly the room big enough to house it and then you can assume that room is "kaput" for any other use.....save your money and maybe just get him a new Cue or my suggestion is the new cue ball with the 6 red dots on it......not having it is a reason also for you and him to go to the local billiard parlor and spend time together with him and some friends......save your money....save your space!!!

i suggest that you get a good second hand one but be careful as you dont want one with  a cracked slate (playing surface)
