What is the best kind of spandex?

i have volleyball like evryday till the season ends and so i need spandex that will last a long time :D :P lol so whats the best kind?

I will tell you that you get what you pay for, so if Under Armour is a little more expensive then it's most likley the best one.

Hi VolleyChick -- some of the other answers are OK, but I feel I have a better one.  The most durable spandex is thicker, and in the Under Armour (for example) they have Heat Gear and Cold Gear.  The difference is the thickness of fabric, and thicker fabric (Cold Gear) costs more money.  Thicker will last longer, and the best way to tell is go to a good sporting goods store and feel the fabric differences for yourself (try all types of brands).  Also, the better brands have better construction, but I still feel that thicker fabric is the answer.

The other part of the answer is that if you are hard on your clothes (with scrapes, and dare I say sweat) then that will reduce the life.  You can make things last longer by keeping it clean and fixing holes and tears when they happen.

Well the best that i have worn are:

under-armor

Mizuno

Adidas

Nike

Smack

You can purchase them from East-bay or other athletic places like sports Chalet Big 5 etc.

but i know you can also buy cotton ones from most stores like target and walmart...but i don't like these as well because they are more restricting and sometimes fade.

I say asics. Mizunos do tend to ride up a lot and asics feel comfy. Our school has asics spandex and our jerseys are made by adiddas. So get asics!

I've found that the two most reliable brands are Under Armor and Asics.  While under armor is always slightly more expensive, it's completely worth it in the amount of time they last.

idk?  it's a personal preference, but i like underarmer spandex.  just don't dry them in the dryer, cuz they'll wear out faster (i heard that somewhere)

I love Addidas! They are really comfortable and long lasting. Do not get Mizunos - they are too thin and you always have to pull them down because they roll up easily. I've been wearing Addidas that my sister wore when she played so they will last for a while.

i have had both my under amour and adidas spandex for over 3 years now, and they are in great shape yet, but i found the adidas a bit more comfortable, but the under amour are in better shape, so if ur looking for long lasting spandex get under amour, but if you want a softer spandex get adidas, but i like the under amour.

i like 'champion'. they last Sooooooo dang long. ive had mine since 5th grade to high school and theyre really comfy too.
