To be quite honest, Speedo and nike are the best and most trusted types out there, but since you have already said that you don't like them, try these:

TYR- they're probably the closest you'll get to Speedo quality wise, and they also have a ton of different styles (backs, prints, straps, etc).  they are a little pricey like speedo though.

RBK (aka REEBOK)- they are good suits with awesome prints and backs and stuff.  If you directly order them from a website, they will be a bit pricey too... but one of the best thigns about them is that you can find them at your local Ross or TJ Maxx for about 15% of the normal price.  I just got one from TJ Maxx that was originally $78 for $15.  It was one heck of a deal.

CLUB SWIM AND WATERPRO- they're cool. htey have awesome prints and are cheap, but they don't have the best lifespan or durability.

DOLFIN- awesome durability and fun prints.  they tend to run a little small though (or i just might have worn them extremely tight, i dont know). Very long lasting and good prices too. the Uglies collection suits typically run just under $30.

AGON SWIM- they have awesome prints and good prices, but the durability it horrible from that i've heard.

SPLISH- I've never tried their suits, so i dont know about durability, but prices are good, and prints are FABULOUS! they have some of the coolest suits ever- my personal favourite is the tuxedo print one.  also, on their website, they have a feature where you can create, print, and order your own suit that you design! you can pick the style of suit, strap thickness, colours, add words and pictures if you want, the whole shebang.

LZR Racer by Speedo. Fastest suit ever made. Laser bonded seams, its a work of art. and its unisex  ; )

well, if you're famous and rich, you might be able to get a LZR suit from speedo (even though you don't like it). they are amazing. because of it, 12 world records were beaten in 39 days.

Speedo Endurance suits are great! The material is very comfortable and lasts a long time.

Some other brands I like are TYR and Dolfin Uglies. They're pretty affordable and last a reasonable amount of time. Just make sure you get a polyester-blend suit. They cost a bit more but last much longer and usually are more comfortable. www.swimoutlet.com has some great suits.

a lot of people will automatically just say speedo, but i discovered another great one-piece called Dolfin Uglies. I started wearing my new Ugly on June 11th, the first day of swim practice of the summer, and have worn it every day at swim practice since. (today is july 25th!) and it is still tight. plus they have really cool patterns! i like them a lot.

I like any speedo brand sute. They last forever and if you wash them in cold water every night it is used and let them dry they last forever

also they have lots of diffrent colors and styls that will fit your style

for meets, either the FSpro or LZR, you cant buy the lzr yet though and my friends who got one at olympic trials said they HATED the LZR.  there is also a new suit out called blueseventy and they are suposed to be faster than the LZR.  

for practice i like the nike cut out suits THEY ARE SO COMFY!

tight ware they NEED to be, if you know what i mean, and loose ware they dont need to be :D
