There has been a lot of talk about virtual assistants lately.  I couldn't tell you what was a scam and what wasn't but I think there are a few clearinghouses out there.

edit: I found one called aspire (at aspire.com) that seems legit.

You don't make money online (other than selling on ebay or similar).  C'mon folks!  Quit falling for scams.

If you want to earn money, you must go WORK. You will have to actually go to the place of employment and work there.

Very few real companies are going to hire a stranger to do work for them with no training or supervision. Most people who work from home either work for themselves, or have worked for a company for many years, and then had a personal situation arise that caused them to need to work from home. If they were trusted long-term employees, and if their jobs could be done remotely, the companies made accommodations.

If you want to earn money, you will have to get a real job. You can't earn a living answering surveys (which really just collect info on you!) on the Internet. No company is going to pay good money for that when they can simply provide a survey link on their receipts and get ACTUAL CUSTOMERS to tell them what they thought of their services or products (for free!).

Legitimate companies are not going to pay to ship materials to you, let you fold them stuff them or address them, and then pay for you to ship them back to them. How would that possibly make financial sense?

www.workingsolutions.com ...... you must apply online. It is taking inbound calls from home. It make take a little while to be accepted. My cousin works for them and has for several years or more. She makes around 600 dollars for part time work. This is a legit working from home job!! I have applied myself but have not been accepted as of yet. been two weeks so far but my cousin told me to wait it out I would be hired. YOU will need high speed internet to do this job.

Most of the 'opportunities' are scams. Either they want money up front or they are collecting personal info.  The few legit call center companies have very long waiting lists and even if you get to the top of the list, you won't get enough assignments to make any money.

Instead, start your own business.  What do you know how to do?  Check with former employers or local small businesses to see if they can use your services.
