  1. For.. what purpose. You're not giving us enough information about what sort of photos you are planning to shoot.

  2. If you search under Nikon D200 on Amazon, the first result is best in my opinion. =]

  3. The 18-200 mm VR will get you going.

Later the 12-24 mm for landscapes and architectural shots and a 105 mm macro VR when you are ready to shoot up close and personal with your flowers and items around the house.

  4. The best lens for " all around" photography..

i'd have to say that the nikkor 18-55mm lens is the best lens for accomplishing what you want to accomplish. It's usually given in a kit for a DSLR, it's a good landscape, and wide angle lens.

Sure, it doesn't zoom that much, but that's not something you said you necessarily needed. The 55mm maximum focal length is equivalent to that of a 3x zoom on the market today. It's the universal zoom range. The 18-55mm lens is always a good choice.

it's only 114$ , which isn't that bad at all

However, if you want to zoom a little more, you should get the nikkor 70-300mm lens, a good zoom range lens :

it's only 144$, which isn't that bad either
