What is the best li-po and brushless motor for my micro t?

I was hoping to stay under $50 but i want it to go pretty fast, so i was wondering with all the motors and stuff which one is cheap but works better then the one that comes with? And is a brushless motor even worth it or shouldi just get a lipo? (got a charger)

Change the pinion gear to less teeth,you'll have extreme high end (in the long stretch) but not much low end off the line,and more teeth,you'll have of the line performance,but not as much top end.Or get a motor that has extreme high rpm's,check them out. http://towerhobbies.com

Get the Lipo battery first - then see if you get the kind of performance you are looking for.  I work at a HobbyTown and they sell a brushless venom motor that will do the trick ($40-$60)  Try HobbyTown.com or HorizonHobby.com

And yes, the brushless motors are worth it.
