Neutrogena's got some nice ones, so does L'Oreal's. If you could spare a bit more $, MAC has a huge selection.

For lip gloss, I would recommend something clear or flesh-colored such as tan, pink, brown, or reddish-brown, but nothing too harsh. It works with anybody, and that's what I wore at your age.

Smashbox is great because it darkens and blends according to your skin tone, but it's pretty expensive.

Otherwise I'd get Loreal Colour Juice.

The trick is to prep your lips for the gloss. First, exfoliate your lips by using a damp washcloth or towel to gently massage (removes dead skin and improves lip shape and smoothness). I love all the MAC LipGlass glosses. They are high gloss and come in all different shades but are kind of expensive (but worth it). If you want something more affordable CoverGirl Wetslicks lip glosses are great.
