  1. Hi there.  The company I work for, Jig-A-Loo makes a lubricating spray that is silicon based, ordorless, it goes on clear, it wont run, and is very popular with Rubiks Cube owners.  Jigaloo also will not stain you clothes.  It is a cheap and easy solution for you and you can pick up Jig-A-Loo at any of these retailers: http://www.jigaloo.com/us/e_store_locato...  This should help you to have your Rubik's Cube turning like the day you got it in no time.  All the best!

  2. This question is so nerdy I like it, and I could not help but answer it....

try butter or margarene if you can take it appart.  on plastic mechanical parts, I believe I have seen a type of mechanical grease rather than oil of some sort.  maybe you can find any standard grease, like the kind they use on cars inside the axle boot where the CV joints are.  get it from NAPA or something.

  3. I would think a little bit of kitchen oil would work well...or Wd 40 spray or Pam kitchen spray.

  4. Try WD-40 or any variety of Silicon spray.  Using the little straw connector that comes with the can would probably help you get the lubricant into the right place without getting it all over the surface area.
