  2. This is somewhat of a broad question. There are many factors to consider: type of fish, size of fish, habitat, water moverment, depth, color of water, time of year, temperature, etc... But I think your looking for a catch all. I fish saltwater 98% of the time, so well start with that. I love top water diving plugs such as the Bomber Long A (chartreuse is the best). If you consider soft plastic... I like a D.O.A. Terroreyz. They work great for almost all species and sizes (anything from trout to tarpon). In fresh water... you really cant beat a "motor oil" colored worm with a small knocker rig (sliding weight). Happy fishing!

  3. For freshwater lakes in Canada I like the Ripplin' Redfin for surface fish and have finally been won over by soft plastics for down in the deep or weeds.

    Not really a saltwater fisherman.
