Don't just base it on championships. Think about history, players, names, stadiums, announcers, etc.

  1. Yankees for sure.

  2. The Marlins, 2 World Series since they're in the bigs

  3. Yankees and Cardinals. Many historical moments have occurred with both these teams, many great players have played with these organizations, classic stadiums, and great announcers. What teams could be better than these two?

  4. It's a personal preference so there is no one best team.  I would say the Red Sox.  Others would say the Yankees or Dodgers or Twins, etc. based on how they see their team.

  6. All time its the Yankees, not even close.  The next closest is probably the St. Louis Cardinals, then probably the Dodgers, and then the Pirates, Reds and Braves in the next tier.

The Red Sox are irrelevant, as theyve done pretty much nothing their complete history until recently.   I could care less about the titles they won their first few years, noone cares what they did in a league of about 10 teams.

  7. Just look here.

  8. Not the Cubs, that's for sure sh**.  All time obviously the Yankees.

  9. thats the most obvious question ever, the Washington nats! not really

probably the yankees. no other team can beat 26 world series.

  10. yankees they were classics back then, players, like babe ruth joe dimaggio, yogi bear, etc. and they had some good annoncers but forget there names but i know they did, and there stadium is legendary, they have been playing there for about 80-90 years, and many things happened in the stadium like world series champion, and walk offs, and other thing, but next year they r having a new stadium which makes mad, but they can make new history there

  11. Historically, the Yankees are the best, with 26 world championships, sell-out crowds almost all of the time... They're certainly the biggest team. SO many big name players have played for them, Spanning from Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson to Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez today. Despise them or not, they're easily the most successful baseball team.

My personal favorite is the Cardinals. Most championship wins in the National League, and some big name players, such as Bob Gibson, Stan Musial, Ozzie Smith, Mark McGwire, Albert Pujols... Just a fun team to watch.

  12. If your not just basing it on WS rings... then what about the San Francisco Giants... They have more wins than ANY OTHER team.  Followed closely by the Chicago Cubs and those are the only two teams over 10,000 wins all time.

History: look at the Cubs with the second oldest ball park in the majors, with harry Caray as an announcer, the fiercefullness and dedication of their fans.  They have had players like Ron Santo, Ryan Sandburg, and Sammy Sosa.

Even though it has been 100 years since they have won a title, if you follow the criteria you have given us then you really might be able to make a pretty good case for the Chicago Cubs....

  13. cardinals

    10 ws championships

    jack buck

    stan musial!!

  14. Yanks obviously.... Their are a ton of them in the HOF... The best player of all time (Babe). Famous Bob Sheppard is their announcer (Now stepping to the plate..... Derek..... Jeter......) The have "The House that Ruth built" a 13 consecutive playoff streak, which is unheard of in modern day baseball... Here are some names....Ruth, Dimaggio, Geghrig (spelled it wrong), Whitey Ford, Mantle, Maris, Rizzuto, Jeter, A-rod, Gossage, Rivera, etc.....

    They're no question the best....

  15. Yankees by miles! Just take a look at their history etc.

  16. If you're talking history, it's the Yankees.  26 Championships. Players like Ruth, Gherig, Jeter, Mattingly, Guidry, Jackson, Munson, Gossage, Mariano, ARod, DiMaggio, Mantle, Maris, etc etc etc. Yankee Stadium is probably the most historic venue in baseball. Phil Rizzuto was one of the greatest announcers to ever speak in front of a mike. It's the Yankees.  You want to try to get the second best team. That'll be a challenge. I think it's the Cardinals.
