  1. Find an MMA gym. With the popularity of the sport, there are Gyms out there that teach the entire MMA game. For schools around your area. If you can't find one, Finding a boxing gym and a wrestling club, or a BJJ School are options.

  2. i would not recommend kickboxing.  Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu, or grappling training create more consistent winners.

kickboxing tends to be easier to counter than other disciplines.

Edit For Zeljiko B.: Yes, Muay Thai is a kickboxing discipline, but involves a lot more activity with knees and the clinch when applied to an MMA game as compared to Western Kickboxing, which i assumed was what the question referenced.  Muay Thai is also more seamlessly integrated into a well rounded MMA style than typical Western Kickboxing.

  3. Sjspivey muay thai is a type of kickboxing so you obviously have no clue of what your talking about. Anyway back to you question, Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, and Wrestling are the perfect combination.

  4. Grappling and ground fighting and have to be solid big and flexie, quick etc

  5. obviously if you want into the big show, they want you to have stand up.   Now if your trying to win...   it totally depends on what your body is made to do.  Some people just are not flexible enough to be successful at Jujitsu.  Others just cant throw down cause they dont have the reach or cant handle the sweet science.

most of the time i see a higher percentage of wrestlers succeeding in the ring/cage.
