What is the best material to use as fake snow for a backyard rail?

The best is snowflex as said above, but if you want something cheaper try Dendex. When you use dry slope type surfaces rememder to keep it damp if possible so your skis or board slide easier. Good luck with the riding.

I can't say how it compares to Snoflex. But we used Snowgel all last year and will be using it again this summer.

I plan on making a 100 foot by 30 foot ski run to teach skiing at scout camp.
