I play midfield so i have to run alot. what is the best meal to have before a game to give me the most energy

  1. Grilled ham and cheeze sandwich + some cheetos on the side meal of true champions. try it


  2. An apple (in tests gives you more energy and lasts longer than a 12 oz coffee) with peanut butter. Or something else with a lot of carbs, simple carbs like those in fruits,veggies, or nuts are MUCH better than complex ones.

  3. no meal you need a shake (Milk honey sugar banana and milo) best have 45min b4 game

  4. I would have a large pasta dish on teh night before your game, and then on the day of the game a light breakfast, and then some fruit - banana is good - just before going onto the field. Also make sure that you keep up your fluid intake through the day.

  5. My grandfather was an excellent footballer even getting to VFL (now AFL) level and also a top Cyclist when not playing footy. He swore by bananas for both sports.

    I personally might be a bit careful about smoothies as Milk is said to have some sort of chemical in it that can induce feelings of sleepiness and is drunk warm by a lot of people to induce sleep.
