What is the best method to marry someone out of the country?

Right now I'm not married yet, but I want to marry someone out of the country. Basically one method would be to go there and marry her and start the long process of bringing her back here. Or, I read she can come with a visitor Visa, get married, and we can apply for her to stay and I believe she can stay here while the process is being done. Is that right? To me, the latter sounds better, but is it? I know she won't be able to work until the process is done, but at least she'll be here right?

  1. Been there done this!!  LOL    Do not go over there to marry first or do the visitor visa.  What you need to get is a Fiancee visa, it is the fastest way, might only take 3-6 months to get her here, depends on the backlog.  If you marry her over there it could take a minimum of 2 years.  Process is simple to get started, just goto  www.uscis.gov .  You must meet the requirements and remember to get an immigration lawyer after you get married over here to walk you through the process and to answer all of your questions.

  2. In any country using a visitors visa when you plan to get married is immigration fraud and isn't worth the risk. Your plan could get her deported and you arrested.

Do it the slow way as it works out better in the end.

You don't say what country you are in, I'm guessing Canada from your user name. A lot of advice you might get here will be specific to America so be careful.

  3. You should get a fiancee visa.  That is your best bet, and it will eliminate the need to file down two different paths to get her here.
