What is the best mixture for the pinata?

I need to make a pinata for my friend's birthday but I don't know

what I should make the mixture for the pinata. I tried corn starch and water but when the pinata dried all the newspaper fell off.

Flour(not cornstarch) and water mixture makes papier mache when newspaper is dipped in it and formed.

Cornstarch is used as a thickener in gravies and a moisture picker-upper in talcum powders.

Half White Craft Glue and Half Water . That's what I always use and Never have had a problem ;)))

I agree with the other reply. You use flour and water, or you can also use diluted white glue.
