What is the best music downloading service that will not hurt my computer?

Ok, I downloaded it and it can't find any files AT ALL. It says it's connecting, I'm obviously connected to the internet. I had limewire on one of my other computers before and it messed it up but it always found files.

When I suggest Limewire, I hear you screaming. Oh No not limewire., it has lots of viruses, messus up my computer.

Limewire is one of the most popular programs for downloading music and videos. does not have viruses and does not mess up your pc.

That is, when you use it correctly. Programs like limewire (p2p), have a lot of fake files and when you download those files your computer will be infected wit a virus. Therefore you should stay away from fake files.

When you do a search for music, you will see a lot of small files, files too small to be a movie. Therefor those small files are very likely fake files

You should start downloading filsed higher than 2500/3000kb.

Nothing is completely safe, therefor make sure, that your anti virus is up to date. Just in case.

LimeWire is the ONLY one I know of, that actually has a security certificate. It will take up some RAM, though.
