choose a name that means something to you, such as a character from a favorite movie, book or tv show. Examples: Ariel, Cruella,

Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Marple's, Hercule, Poirot, Mc Tavish, Raven, Gilligan, skipper, Harrison, Indy, Gunny, etc.

Try a couple of names over the course of a couple of days and see which one the cat responds to and you are comfortable with.

I like names that end in a "y" or "ie"   such as Misty, Silly, Billy, Sweetie, Kelly, Suzie, Cloe, .. I love the name Chloe!

I think the "y" sound is not as important for cats as it is for Dogs! Hopefully, you will not be saying anything besides "here kitty, kitty." Cats do not always come when you call them, anyway. * But dogs are sort of required to do that! (My Siberian Husky is a bit of a willful dog! Certain breeds have different traits! It is actually not as undesirable of a  trait in a Siberian husky as it would be in other dogs. Siberian huskies are actually supposed to THINK when their sled owner says "mush to the right" and there is a big gaping hole in the ice? the Lead Siberian Husky is supposed to THINK and decide to deliberately disobey the owner's orders in order to save their lives! Good dog! I love my doggie!)

Here's a link on how to toilet train your cat, if you are interested in the challenge! The rewards are great! You might never have to buy kitty litter ever again! wow! (I have not tried this yet, but I am about to try it very soon! We need a new cat! I have special one picked out!)

Don't worry it will just happen, All of my cats had names from the SPCA but grew nick names like BOy, Booby,Precious,Brown Cat and Dew short for How u doing cause that's what the baby use 2 say every time she saw the cat..

it depends on its appearance

if it has little coloured paws. call it socks or boots

if it has a stripey tail. call it bandit

i dunno really

mines called superglue because of her personality

(she always follows me - sticks to me like glue)

its best to pick one with eee sound at the end like kitty, because they respond more to names with that :)
