The condo is on Beacon Hill in Boston. The entrance is a bright yellow with white linen trim. There is new lightening on all floors. There are seven stairwells front and back and they are now a dark brown. There is only one window in each stairwell. These face a brick wall. There is only one window on each floor plus French doors and seven other doors and an elevator, these are to be painted in white linen. The color choices are taupe(which is what we now have on the walls), various shades of yellow(a few hate yellow most want it). We need a middle ground color. Light, elegant and rich colors are what we need.

Help.

  1. try choclate, creamy browns and velvety reds. Also try beige and olive greens.

  2. yellow would look really nice...a bright yellow, as it will be darker on the walls than it is in the can.  the walls in my house are yellow and we love it

  3. beige.

  4. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

"Agreeable gray" (# 7029) might be a great color choice. It's "agreeable" after all. :)

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
