My daughter is almost 9.5 months old. I have introduced the sippy cup since she was 6 months old and she has gotten it for the past month or so but only with water. When ever I put her formula in it she cries and hands it to me. I know that it is still early but I would like some helpful tips to getting my little one off the bottle I would like to have her off by her first birthday.

Does anybody have any good tips from there own experience on making the transition from the bottle to the sippy cup seamless.

Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks so much

  1. find something she really likes to drink with mine it was chocolate milk. give it to her for a day or 2 then about that time you can start putting whatever youd like in it and shell drink it. i put chocolate milk in my daughters sippy for 2 days(i dont do that now) but after that she didnt want her bottle she liked her sippy and you have to find one that she likes. try a few and youll figure it out. good luck!!

  2. The day my son turned 2 I gave him the sippy cup and nothing else. It took about 2 days and then he took the sippy cup and drank it all.  I just kept offering it to him and he would drink a little.  I was worried but figured if he got to thirsty he would drink and sure enough he did.  We have not touched a bottle sinc the day he turned 1

  3. Wow my baby used his bottle as a comfort thing with formula in it until he was 3 years old. We introduced the sippy cup for juices and other drinks at age 1.
