What is the best operating system???

The Leopard mac seems to be the best system for new computer users, with no previous experiance.

There is no perfect operating system for everyone depends on the user. Personally I use XP though lol.

if you are not a gamer, leopard or xp

fedora core is awful, and why would you use an obsolete version of os-x

If you are not a gamer then it would be Leopard as Snow Leopard (10.6) is still in developer stage. Panther 10.3 is about 4 years old and was superceded by OS X 10.4

If you are a gamer then probably XP.

Fedora core if you like Linux and like to tinker with the internal code.

I wouldn't touch Vista if you paid me and neither will Intel Corp.

Windows 2003 is NOT a desktop operating system - it is a server OS.

Any linux system will be better than anything else. It's lighter, faster, bullet proof against viruses, and easiest to use. And it doesn't spy on you like windows.

Mac's use BSD, which is better than windows, but it will never touch linux in any area.

Any mac is nice for simplicity and professionality.

Windows is out of the question.

I use XP sp3 on my laptop and it works great but the machine is so tweaked it will out do most desktops. I'd hate to change operating systems when everything is working so well, but I do have some info on Linux. I'll have to check it out.
