  1. If  money is not an issue then Sony has always been way ahead of all the rest in technology.  If money is an issue I found Vizio to be the best inexpensive brand highly comparable to Sony

  2. The Samsungs are known to be the best TV's on the market....Panasonic also has a stud out there...I'd check out the c/net top HDTV's:

    http://reviews.cnet.com/best-hdtvs-overa...

  3. Sony, Phillips, Panasonic.

  4. This got 5 out of 5 stars at circuit city and its 52 inches, i don't know a whole lot about TVs but this was in the list of highest rated...

    http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/52-Mitsub...

also here is a link of all the TVs in order of highest rating

    http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/c/1/catO...

the first link appears to be one of the best... sporting the highest numbers in its description box, also the site has in-home installation i believe... just in case you need assistance

  5. The new Sony Plasma TV or Samsung Plasma TV they have up to 50000 contrast. Size up to 60". but shop around they might try to sell you old stock not the latest.

  6. The new Samsung HDTV! My uncle bought one! Its brilliant!

  7. Hands down, Sony is the way to go!

Don't just take my word for it, read what Consumer's Reports has to say about it.

Also, go with LCD TV.  They last must longer than plasmas do.

  8. The Pioneer Kuro Plasmas were declared "The best image available on any TV" by both Home Theater Magazine and The Perfect Vision magazine.

Pioneer has stopped producing the Plasma version (and they were about $5,500 SRP).  The new LCD versions are due to come out soon (One was spotted in a German store)

But the Sony XBR4 LCD televisions are winning top awards in the LCD group so if you wanted the best LCD - it would be the higher end Sony units.

  9. toshiba

  10. sony or phillips

  11. well it really is kinda foggy as to brands, some praise sony (for example) as the best brand theyve ever had, others say everything they make is c**p. But the highest specs out there is 1080p HDTV, with a 120hz refresh rate. The newest picture technology is LED, which is mega expensive but will last forever. The biggest tv ive seen availible at a retail store is a 67" But the basic thing you want is a 1080p 120hz LED HDTV
