What is the best overall brand for car sound system?

i want to buy a head unit, speaker, subs, and an amp from the same brand my budget is about 2000 dollars

Unfortunately there is not one that is going to be the BEST overall brand.  

I personally like Kenwood and Alpine decks.  Pioneers are not bad either.

And Components or Door speakers...(components are Seperate mid range woofer 6.5" or 5" speakers etc.  and separate tweeters with a crossover setup.  which usually gives you the best all around sound) I would suggest Phoenix Gold RSDC components.  Great bang for the dollar.  People claim this set to be as good as some of the more expensive sets that come from MB Quart, or Focal(but these two brands are pretty acceptable as well for components/door speakers) etc.

These sets usually run around the $129 range or even less (on ebay $79 ish +ship etc...)

Sub woofers also from Phoenix gold bang for the dollar the RSDC competition woofer is amazing.

$159 retail for a 12".  If you want huge huge bass....depends on what you want....Re(resonant engineering) Audio, DD Audio (Digital Designs), Fi Car Audio makes some GREAT subs...both in SQ and SPL range woofers.  Ams that are good as well is the PHoenix Gold RSD series amps, DD Audio, Kicker, Memphis, MMats, Incriminator Audio, Autotek, and such.

try kicker, or JL both very good systems, i myself have two 10'' JL aubio subs, with jl amp, and i got kicker speaker, overall sounds amzing!

i have been using pioneer for about 15 years and it seems to be the best,i have tried lots of different brands

pick yourself up a nice pioneer head unit, speakers wise stick with some components the quality is 10x's better than most coaxial speakers. sub wise pick up 2 L7's or L5's if you want strong bass or some crx's for a cleaner sound. top it off with a kicker or rockford fosgate amp that can handle that power and your set..................
