  1. Have you tried any alternative methods like: rubbing castor oil on the knees? What medications have you tried? Usually anti inflammatory meds like aleve, ibuprofen are better for arthritic pain. Some people have to see an orthopedic doctor for cortisone injections. THere is also an injection called synovisc that helps many people with knee pain.

  2. i have really bad knees. I have a regular orthopeodic doctor scheduled for every 2 weeks so i know what i'm saying. First put some warm compress on them, then after about 10 minutes of that use some oil or cream or something slippery to lightly massage them. Now put a cool compress on them. Then wait about 10 minutes to see if that helps. If not, take any form of ibuprofen, like advil or something. it usually takes about a half hour before that kicks in. I also heard from a magazine in a health office that if you put hot sauce wherever it hurts it will help. My friends grandmother does it all the time and says it works for her arthritis. Try it, it can't hurt. I hope o was helpful!

  3. Whatever really works for you.  An anti-inflammatory, ice, rest, steroid injections , narcotics, heat, massage, physical therapy are all methods of decreasing the pain.  Every one feels pain differently and tolerates pain individually.  What bother me to tears might not bother you much or at all.
