When I found out I was pregnant I read "what to expect when you're expecting" within the second month. I still pick it up monthly to review how baby is growing and what I can expect. Since then I moved on to "Babytalk's Guide to your Child's First Year". A 2008 publishing that was a great guide to infant care and vaccinations and milestones. Now I'm 6 months along and looking for something about actual parenting. I mean when the baby is older then one year. Something with a chapter on discipline would be nice. I'm also interested in when the child should start chores and that kind of thing. I know I will learn as I go along, and I can't expect a book to convey what its really like to raise a child. Still, any recommendations would be appreciated.
