What is the best part of germany..?

This actually depends of your taste. What do you consider to be "good"?

Do you rather visit nature and love wine, then Rüdesheim would be your spot.

Do you love wandering in the woods, go to Hof or Freiburg im Breisgau.

Do you love the beer drinking a little drunken scenery with a lot of people around, then go to the Oktoberfest in Munich.

Do you want to see a normal German city with people living an everydays life plus having an interesing night life - then go to Frankfurt/Main or Berlin.

Do you want to see a smaller town with a lot of old fashion houses, then got to Heidelberg or Wiesbaden.

Do you want to visit concentration camps, then go to Dachau or go near the polish border so you can make a trip to Auschwitz.

Do you want to see, how the former DDR developed, go to Dresden or Erfurt.

Each mentioned place of course also has other things going for, these are just the highlights.

So, it depends very much how you want to spend your time and what your preferences are before someone could suggest something you really look for.

I´m from germany and I can recommend you München in Bavaria, Köln in Nordrheinwestfalen, of course Berlin in Brandenburg and Heidelberg in Baden Württemberg.

Heidelberg has a castle and a old town, in Köln is the "Dom" Berlin is the maincity and München is beautiful. There is also the Oktoberfest.

There is no best part.  Every part of Germany is special in it's own little way, but one of my favorite parts is Thuringia (Thüringen).  Thuringia is a state in central Germany that used to be part of East Germany.  There are so many cool historical cities there, such as Weimar and Erfurt.  Weimar was culture capital of Europe in 1999, and I can see why.  So many famous people are from or have lived there, such as Bach, Goethe, and Schiller.  Erfurt is a great town to just stroll around in.  It is more than 1000 years old, and was not touched by WW2 much.  I have been there twice, and I love to get lost just wandering the streets.  

The scenery is outstanding as well.  The Thuringian Forest below Erfurt is home to some wonderful scenery.  It includes  low mountains and hills covered by a thick beautiful forest and cute little villages.  Castles can be found on some of the hills too.  The most famous is the Wartburg castle near Eisenach  where Martin Luther translated the bilble from Latin to German.  It is a wonderful place.

There is so much more too, but it would take forever to write about everything.  Those were just highlights.  Thuringia is only 2 1/2 hours from Frankfurt and Berlin by car, and even less by train.  From Munich probably about more than 3 hours or so.  Go!  You'll have a great time.  e-mail me if you want more ideas.

Live in German for 2 1/2 year. The Germans are more friendly and polite to people. they will go out of there way to help you if you try to speak German.  There is so much to see and do.

Failing that look into Uberammergau where they do the Passion Play throughout the entire town.

I think Munich and especially the Oktoberfest are overrated, I've been there before and it's just like any other fair to me, so I don't bother. I live in Dresden, Saxony, that's a very nice city and there's a lot of culture and mountains (so-called Saxon Switzerland) and it's close to Czech Republic and Poland and about 2 hours south of Berlin. I also like the Black Forest (south-west Germany), a lot of nature and nice people.
