for me, the best part of my first year was really just knowing that i am a step higher, and I'm not going to a school with a bunch of kindergartners ( no offense to younger people). Middle school is funner than elementary school because of the more freedom, and getting used to the changes was pretty interesting and fun.

TIPS:

Have a clean locker, that was one mistake i made in the 6th grade, then came the clean out locker day.....

Don't feel intimidated by the 7th and 8th graders, that's another mistake i made which made my self-esteem go down a little

Don't let bullies get to you. Just tell a counselor or teacher.

Don't worry about being popular, just try to make friends and be nice to people. If you try too hard to be popular, it will be noticeable and therefore you will be declared as a loser.

Don't be scared by what older people say about middle school, they just wanna scare you. For example, homework isn't that much.

Most importantly.... HAVE FUN!!!

Honestly, middle school is kind of awkward and drama-filled.

But it's ok because it's a great learning experience. You will learn more about yourself and you will grow up so much from the time you start til the time you are done with it.

High school is so much more fun, but don't worry you will get there soon (: Just relax and try to take it as easy as possible. Be true to yourself. It's a whole new world!

The best part of middle school was the amount of work, i used to think it was so bad, but compared to high school it was a breeze, so enjoy it while it lasts.

There was a lot of drama when i was in middle school, there still is in high school but eventually most people grow out of it, and you yourself won't care about it anymore.

Overall, best thing about middle school was when it was over!
