  1. I agree with The Ace.  Been there.  Done that.

    You can check with Wilhelm Research for third party verification.

    My stock answer:

    Every printer manufacturer has formulated their inks to work BEST with a certain brand of paper - usually their own. http://www.wilhelm-research.com is a great site where they continually evaluate various printer/ink/paper combinations. I'd suggest you spend a little time prowling about on that site and see if they have a recommendation for you.

    There's always debate about whether to use glossy or matte and this is ultimately a matter of personal taste.

  2. 3 years ago, I went to COSTCO and got an Epson which was the most inexpensive photo glossy paper. The photo I printed on my Canon, it came out good, and is still hanging on my wall and still look the same.

  3. Canon paper and Canon ink ... all photo inkjet printers are designed to use their proprietary paper and ink to assure perfect colour balance and archival quality

    So, Canon = Canon

    Epson = Epson

    HP = HP

    Etc

  4. Ilford Smooth Pearl is great! I highly recommend it :o)

    For the best results, be sure to create a custom profile for your paper or download one from the manufacturer's website. Good luck!
