Question:

What is the best place in Portland, OR for dancing that would suit a middle aged crowd but not be dull?

My Mom wants to go out dancing for her (50th) birthday, this SATURDAY night. Any area from Hillsboro to Vancouver will be fine but here are the things she requested.

Non smoking

Music can't be all hip hop, maybe 80's or something, not country.

Prefer no extreme waitress outfits or stripper poles

Fun place, good vibe with friendly people

The crowd can be young and she isn't uptight, I just don't want there to be an overtly sexual tone to the place. I want her to be happy and have a good time.

Please don't suggest Lola's Room, American Cowgirls, Dixie or Boiler Room as they have been considered, I'm looking for new ideas.

Thanks for the help!

  3. Haven't been up there for a few years, but used to be a hard rock place on the corner of S.E. 145th and Division that my wife and I went to.
