If you live in or near a city CraigsList might be a good source, and I agree about eBay.

If you want a new one and you're on a limited budget, check the ones they sell on Bikes Direct.  Look at the link below, they have one for sale right now for only $549 delivered.  The same outfit sells on eBay for sometimes slightly different prices under the ID sprtymama.  Just checked and they have a "Buy It Now" for $497 plus shipping.

Some people, especially local bicycle shops (I used to own one), like to knock Bikes Direct because their prices are so low.  I know a dozen people who have bought from them and they are all happy.

I'm only an occasional cyclocrosser and I built mine on a bargain generic aluminum 'cross frame and carbon fork that I bought on sale from nashbar.com and built up with spare components I already had.  All told, however, I probably have more in it than the Bikes Direct price.
