What is the best place to find a deal on an HDTV?

I got $500 taken off the price at circuit city on what they call "open-box" deals. This means that the tv has been owned recently but its still pretty much brand new. I have a 48' Lcd LG HDTV.

If you have a connection to a wholesale store that is the way to go. Usually they only sell to Audio/Video resalers or installers. But maybe you have a friend that is in the business and can get a deal. I bought 2 different Sharp Aquos this way with $400 and $600 off.
