  1. san miguel de allende, celaya, ixtapa/zihuatanejo.........

  2. acapulco of course.

  3. The other answers you got are for touristy, very expensive places with thusands of gringos.  if this is the type of place you want and you can sford them...then that's fine.  If you have a more limitd budget, do NOT want to live where you can hardly tell you are in Mexico, and do not want to live ina touist center...there are many delightful places. Beach cities are going to be hot humid, expensive and full of gringos...not my style.  San Miguel and Chapala are solid gingos, therefore wxpensive..not for meeither.  I prefer an area  a bit up in the mountains where it is not hot and humid, a small town with few gringos, lower prices...and near a large city for conveniences.   There are many places like that...need to pick a general region you like, and make a scouting trip. If money is not a concern, and you want an area with many rich gringos,  there are plenty of those too.

  4. There a lot so much beautiful places, but i like a lot chiapas If I had to choose i would to choose san cristobal de las casas chiapas, everthing is cheap, the weather it is so nice, there are a lot european people, it is beautiful

  5. If you want a nice and tranquil place, I would recommend San Miguel de Allende in the state of Guanajuato, it's like a three hour drive north of Mexico City. It is a quaint, colonial style little town, full of retired Americans and Canadians. If you want a little more action, you could try Queretaro, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, all of them are conveniently located from Mexico City.
