I have dreamed of taking my children to see the shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral. I know the place will be packed, so where would be the best place to go? I have been in the area before, but will be traveling from Virginia. Nasa site recommends a few parks or somewhere along US 1. Like everyone else I would like to get the best seats available! Thanks

  1. Sorry I can't be more specific but I just wanted to say don't be affraid to fight the crowds and go where ever Nasa reccomends. I watched a landing from Titusville and I never saw anything so dissappointing.

If youre going to go all the way from Virginia, don't wimp out at the last mile.

  2. jeez, thanx for nuthin, sidsid...keep in mind that the launch is south and east...so anywhere down around Melbourne would be ok.  Of course, closer would be better.  Go for it and check with NASA and buy tickets to get into where you can see good!  Don't forget, you'll be seeing one of the last shuttles!

  3. The best place is, without a doubt, the moon, but the bus service is extremely erratic.
